45 years old, married and father of four children, Mr. Louis-Georges Dupont fill the function of detective sergeant within the Trois-Rivières`s police since 1959.

In 1969, he`s detective sergeant in an epoch where this police corps makes news because of the crime and the corruption at Trois-Rivières, top site of prostitution.

With a honest and upright reputation, Mr. Louis-Georges Dupont is described as a man that is proud of his work and his family. One month and a half after the sittings of the police board of inquiry about the Trois-Rivières police corps, on november 5, 1969, Mr. Louis-Georges Dupont disapeared. Fetched by the police, he`s founded, on november 10, 1969, in his service car, immobilized in a woodland by the end of the Trois-Rivières town.

Mr. Dupont`s weapon as well as a farewell letter founded beside him, the case is rapidly classified as a suicide. With a little ressources in 1969, Madam Dupont has been refused to receive help from the municipaly in order to observe her own rights, especially to have access to inquiries and autopsy reports, that she could use to get more explanations about events refering to her husband`s death.

Many years later, unsatisfied of the answers she got, Madam Dupont, helped this time by her children, try one more time to bring out highlight on 1969 events. Ones more, she got many hindraces in order to access to necessary documents.

However, on december 20 1995, after many efforts of the family, judgement of superior instance is given to hold a bord of inquiry about the disapperance and the death of the sergeant detective Louis-Georges Dupont. Nevertheless, at this occasion, pitfalls are still at the appointment for the family; omission to produce important documents, non respect of the Superior Court`s judgement on the whole, reports leaks, declining to bring many experts and witnesses that the contribution would be determining, ect...

Today the members of the family are still trying, after almost 30 years, to be understood by any way they have. Whole of the proofs, of the elements that they know and have convince them to go ahead to bring out what they believe, what they know that is the truth. It`s in this way that this site is built, giving one more chance to the Dupont`s family to be heard.

In addition of an introspection about the Dupont`s case, this site glance at, although partially, the 30 last years of our system of justice , its actors, its influences, and on the ways displayed to resolve such an affair. Among these are boards of inquiries, who are first mandated to bring out highlight on events that let a quantity of questions without answers.
